New Staff: David Hummel

David Hummel is a new Research Computing Systems Specialist for the Data, Analytics, and Research Computing team.

 

David Hummel

David Hummel joined the Research Hub on April 3, 2023. David helps manage the "yens" research computing infrastructure for the Data, Analytics, and Research Computing (DARC) team in collaboration with the Stanford Research Computing Center (SRCC). He focuses on automation and observability as the keys to creating reliable computing environments that can evolve to best meet the needs of GSB researchers.

Before joining DARC/SRCC, David held similar positions at Harvard Medical School, Boston College, and Northeastern University. He holds BS and MS degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, both from UC Davis.
